Today it was warm in the afternoon in Matsue, but went colder towards the evening. It looks like spring is just around the corner.
As last week, we were unable to use the Budokan, so we trained in the local gymnasium again. Sensei Takahashi came a little late, so the head teacher of the Izumo branch - Sensei Omura and Sensei Tsumori lead the class. Altogether there were 19 participants, 11 adults and 8 children. Today's practice consisted of warming -up, basics practice and a short break. We then split into separate groups and practiced moving basics, sparring and kata. After the children's training had finished, the adults continued with their individual practice until the class finished.
Today, the children who are above purple belt level practiced bag work. The pracice is a good way of showing that if one can't do the basics, then one can't do that very well either.
