稽古日報　07/01/13

	本日の松江は曇り空でパラパラと雨が降ったりやんだりの天気でした。 本日の稽古参加者は少年部１３名、青年部１０名の合計２３名。 正月休みも終わり、みなさん普段の生活に戻られたようですね。 本日は稽古に入る前に高橋支部長から、以前松江支部で一緒に空手を稽古されていた方が先日お亡くなりになったとの悲しいお知らせがあり、全員で黙祷を捧げました。 稽古の内容は、準備体操、その場の基本、その後高橋支部長から前回の審査合格者に証書と帯が渡されて小休止。 今回もその場の基本はみっちりと稽古しました。 小休止の後は、「黄帯」と「その他」に分かれての稽古。私は「その他」の方達の指導をする事になりました。 まずは全員で移動基本をしましたが、今年は数をこなす事を目標にしていますので、先週と同様にポイントを押さえながら、一通り移動基本を稽古し小休止。 小休止後は、私は高橋先生、ヘザーさんと共に少年部の型を指導。青年部は組手を稽古。 私は平安四段と平安五段、鉄騎初段の指導を担当する事になりましたが、鉄騎初段以外はその型を初めて稽古する子供がおり、片方を指導すると片方が遊んでしまう状況になるため、まず平安五段の指導を先にして、平安四段を練習する子には、「平安四段の次ぎにはこの型をやるのだからしっかりと観ておくように！」などと言いながら指導をするのでありました。 現在少年部は新規入会をお断りしているのですが、この辺りに原因があるのです。 尚、鉄騎初段の子は既に一通り出来るので一人で稽古させましたが、なかなか一人での型の稽古は集中力が続かないようでした。型の稽古が一人で出来るようになると大したものなのですが。。。今後の指導の課題のひとつです。 少年部は１９時４０分頃に稽古終了。 青年部は引き続き稽古を続行。 高橋先生に体裁きを教わる人、課題の型を稽古する人、組手やミット練習をする人等、各自稽古に汗を流し最後は全員で五本組手、騎馬立ちでの正拳突きで稽古終了。 新年早々悲しいお知らせがありましたが、その方は松江支部にとっては４人目の入会者で松江支部の創成期を支えた方であり、私の先輩になるわけですが、一緒に稽古をした事をよく憶えています。年もそれほど離れておらず、何でも気軽に話せる良い先輩でした。 仕事の都合で松江から遠く離れる事になりしばらく空手から離れておられましたが、一昨年に結婚され、その二次会で何年かぶりにお会いし、「近々松江に引っ越す事になるかもしれないので、また空手の稽古に行くからよろしく！」と元気に仰っておられました。 私も「今年位から復帰されるのかな？」と楽しみにしていた矢先のことでしたので、何ともやるせない気持ちです。心からご冥福をお祈りします。
Today there were 23 of us - 13 children and 10 adults. Everything seems to have returned to normal after the new year break. The session started off however with some sad news. Takahashi sensei informed us of the death of one of our members who used to train with us. We held a few minutes of silence in remembrance. We then started with the warm-up, basics and then Takahashi sensei handed out the certificates and belts from the grading last year. We then trained hard with the basics before splitting into two levels - the yellow belts and 'everyone else'. I taught the 'everyone else' group and like last week trained everyone straight through the basics. After the break, myself, Takahashi sensei and Heather led the children through kata and the adults practiced kumite. I had to teach Heian Yondan, Heian Godan and Tekki Shodan, but apart from Tekki Shodan there were children doing the katas for the first time, and when teaching one kata, the other group started playing around, so first I taught Heian Godan, and told the children who are learning Heian Yondan that they had to watch carefully as that will be the next kata that they learn. We currently aren't taking anymore children on at the moment for this very reason. The child learning Tekki Shodan could already get through it and had to train alone, but was unable to concentrate. It is really difficult to concentrate when practicing kata alone. That is another point that we have to work on. The children then finished at 19:40. The adults then continued training, with some practicing footwork with Takahashi sensei, some doing kata and some practicing on the pads. Everyone worked hard and then finished with 5 step sparring and then punching in kiba dachi stance. We have started this year off on a sad note. The person who died was the fourth person to join our club, and supported the club at it's very beginning. I remember training with him very well. There wasn't much of an age difference between us and he was someone that I could talk to about anything. He was transferred away from Matsue with his work and couldn't train, but when I saw him the year before last at his wedding party he told me that he will be coming back to Matsue and will be starting back training. I was so looking forward to that this year, and it was really saddening to hear this terrible news.
